This year’s public universities’ application sensitization reaches a success-NCHE

National Council for Higher Education NCHE says this year’s sensitization campaign in secondary schools on public universities’ application has been a success as compared to the previous years since the inception of the program

Speaking with Radio Islam after the campaign ended Public relations officer for NCHE Priscilla Namasikha said the council and the six public universities have reached all districts

Namasikha says they discovered that the campaign should be targeting students before writing national examinations

“We have discovered that there is need to be approaching students in lower classes such as form two, three or form four before they write examinations,” Namasikha

She says NCHE and public universities are discussing to roll out the career guidance program to complement the sensitization campaign

Namasikha added that during the campaign they were using secondary schools and other places when they found that the schools were preoccupied with other functions
