Truck ferrying relief to Malawi burns into ashes

A horse of a Mozambican Truck carrying 600 bags of Maize belonging to World Food Program has burnt to ashes in Dedza.

Dedza police has confirmed that the accident occurred soon after Dedza road block.

Its deputy public relations officer constable Cassim Manda said the Truck registration number MBP 5537 was driven by Benito Kuyira 28 from Beira to Lilongwe.

“Soon after passing Dedza Police road block at Kapalamula T junction a driver noticed fire from the horse, applied an emergence break and immediately separated a trailer from the horse,” explained Manda.

All the Maize has been rescued.
