UNIMA graduates hundreds
University of Malawi (UNIMA) says it is leaving no stone unturned to improve education standards and eventually rise in the international rankings.
This was said by UNIMA’s Vice Chancellor Professor John Kalenga Saka during the first graduation ceremony of the 2016 to 2017 at Great hall in Zomba.
Professor Saka said there is need for joint efforts from all concerned parties, more research and publication.
He said they are optimistic that the university can do well, after looking at the world ranking which has ranked UNIMA on 89 from previous 98.
During the graduation, 687, out of which 355 are females graduated with postgraduate diplomas and degrees, from various constituent colleges of UNIMA.
