Water and environmental sanitation and network WESNET says is engaging government on the need to bring water closer to people in the aftermath of cyclone Freddy

Executive director of WESNET Willies Mwandira said all institutions like schools and hospitals must have water always that can be stored for long time to sustain hygiene

Director of reproductive health services Dr Fannie Kachale said poverty and shortage of materials are fueling lack of hygiene among people

Tereza Namizinga a student at Muloza Community day secondary school said cyclone Freddy destroyed all products that girls and women use to keep themselves clean

During the event 25 women received materials of promoting hygiene including soap and plastic buckets
