CDEDI urges government to fix economy not mandatory covid vaccination

Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives CDEDI has urged government to fix economy before imposing mandatory vaccination of covid 19.

Speaking to radio Islam, Executive Director of CDEDI Sylvester Namiwa says the country has a serious problem of drug shortage in many hospitals, but government seems to be adopting the mandatory vaccination of covid 19 for all citizens, instead of focusing on addressing pressing health matters.

His remarks come a few days after parliament announced that unvaccinated people will not be allowed in the national assembly

“Mandatory vaccination is against human rights as people have the right to choose to get vaccinated against Covid 19 or not,” Namiwa

He added government is trying to divert people’s attention on matters on economy to trivia.
