CDEDI Writes Vice President on Impassable Road

Centre Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CIDED) has written a letter to vice president Saulos Chilima to visit Mulodza, Mulanje-Sukasenje–Chiringa which is impassable

CIDED says Chilima should use his executive powers to allow the concerned ministry and departments to treat the works on this road as an emergency

Executive director of the Initiatives Sylvestor Namiwa says the Vice President inspected the road in 2020 when he terminated the contract with MA Kharaffi promising to bring another contractor but to no avail

Namiwa further says cyclone Freddy worsened the condition of the road therefore Chilima should direct roads authority to use military bridges among others

Meanwhile public relations officer for office of Vice president Pilirani Phiri has confirmed receiving the letter and will get it to the attention of Chilima
