Zomba magistrate court has sentenced the business man Osward Lutepo to 11 years imprisonment with hard labour for stealing government money.

“The judge did not take into consideration my good deeds and this
Lutepo said this will bring back the effort of changing how things are run in this country,” said Lutepo.

He further said he is not the only person to steal government money therefore justice should prevail.

The judgment has been presented although Lutepo told reporters this morning that he would become the human rights activist and fight corruption once his case ends.

“I apologise to Malawians for stealing public funds because I was being ordered by some top government officials to do the malpractice,” he said.

He said is writing a book on justice as many innocent people are suffering because of others.

The lawyer for Lutepo Osward Mtupila said he will discuss with his client if there is need for appeal.
