DPP governor jailed over LDF abuse

Mzimba magistrate court has sentenced DPP regional governor for the north Christopher Mzomera Ngwira to 4 years for abusing Local Development Fund LDF

His relatives cried when he was being taken to prison to serve the sentence

Leader of opposition and DPP vice president in the southern region Kondwani Nankhumwa attended the sentencing of Ngwira.

Ngwira, a former parliamentarian for Mzimba Hora, is said to have abused  LDF during his tenure of office.

Anti-Corruption Bureau which carried out the investigations into the matter arrested Ngwira in 2018.
