Dawah Committee of Africa Awards Winners of Prophet Muhammad Competition.
Dawah committee of Africa has awarded 8 people different prizes for emerging as winners in the Family of the prophet Muhammad and his followers competition.
Speaking during prize presentation ceremony in Blantyre, a member of the competition organizing committee Sheikh Umar Nkachelenga said through the competition, muslims in Malawi are learning more about the family of the prophet and his followers.
He also called upon muslims to respect the family of the prophet and his followers.
Nkachelenga added that the 11th competition has been a success as it was conducted online thereby dismissing assertions that there is favoritism in the selection of winners.
“The first prize went to Maluwini Patel from chiradzulu who attended the 2019 hajj. And second winner Sulaimana a former BIM student also performed hajj. Others winners include chief mkandawire from chitipa district, sheikh Rajab Abilu from Chiladzulu, Abdulkadel Leman from Balaka, Sheikh Abdulrasheed Mdala from Blantyre, And Jafar Yusufu from Chiladzulu,”he explained
Among the prizes, are smartphones tablets 500,000 kwacha and Samsung Galaxy A20 worth 250, 000 kwacha.
Since the competition began, Over 55 people have been sponsored to attend hajj pilgrimage through the dawah committee of Africa.
