Auditor Arrested for killing Dogs

A private auditor is arrested for killing his dogs in Blantyre.

Public relations officer for Blantyre police sub inspector Augustus Nkhwazi says John Gawanani Banda 40 allegedly beat and subsequently killed his three dogs.

On the material day Banda was preparing to take his five dogs to veterinary at Blantyre society for protection and care of animals.

Due to the fact that the dogs were becoming difficult to get them into the car he started kicking them with his boots mercilessly.

“Upon arrival at the vet two female puppies were found dead due to the fractured skull and spinal injury respectively. One male puppy which had been bleeding nose and mouth died Tuesday morning,” said Nkhwazi

Officials from Blantyre society for protection and care of animals reported the incident to Ndirande police substation.

“Police charged him with cruelty against animals contravening section 3 of the laws of Malawi.
He was released on police bail and is expected to appear before court to answer the charges,” added Nkhwazi

John Gawanani Banda hails from Jumbe village Traditional Authority Kapeni in Blantyre.
