Blantyre city launches service charter

In a bid to take back the city of Blantyre to residents, the council has launched its revised service charter.

Speaking during the launch, mayor of the city Mr wild Ndipo said the charter was developed to promote full participation of people in developmental activities taking place in the city among others.
“The city has provided numbers to people to report any malpractice,” said Ndipo.

In his remarks guest of honor at the function Mr Kinswell Dakamau hailed the council for revising the charter.

Mr Dakamau who is principle secretary in the ministry of local government and rural development said “the charter is corresponding to government agenda of giving the power back to people.”

The project has been supported by concerned youth organixation CYO and Tilitonse fund at a tune of 10 million kwacha.
