House workers arrested for stealing riffle

Two house workers arrested for stealing a riffle of their boss in Limbe.

Public relations officer for Limbe police Patrick Mussa identified the suspects as Hassan Mukota 28 and Steven Chibwe 27.

Mussa said the two were employed as house boy and cook therefore they took this as an opportunity to steal the riffle.

He said Limbe Criminal Investigation Department personnel were tipped that the suspects were selling a 2.2 riffle.

“Police apprehended one suspect at Misesa roadblock and recovered the fire arm with eleven ammunitions. The other suspect was arrested the same day at his work place and both admitted to have stolen the riffle,” Mussa said

Hassan Mukota hails from Kalimbuka village in Traditional Authority Chimaliro in Thyolo district while Chibwe from Kudzikuzi village in the area of Traditional Authority Kabudula in Lilongwe.
