Mob kills suspect

Limbe Police has refuted allegations that a suspect died in their custody at Bangwe police unit.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Islam, Limbe police spokesperson Widson Mshane, said the suspect now deceased was dressing like a woman and robbing men.

Mshane said on the fateful day he stole a mobile phone and money.

“When the victim shouted for help people rushed to the scene and brutally assaulted the deceased hence becoming unconscious,” Nshane said.

He was pronounced dead upon arrival at Queen Elizabeth Central hospital.
