Law Enforcers Drill Malawians On Constitution

Law enforcing agencies have trained communities on rule of law in Dedza district.

Speaking during the training officer in charge for Dedza police station Emmie Soko told the gathering to desist from engaging in mob justice.

Soko appealed to the communities to put their trust on constituted law enforcement agencies.

On the complaint that some suspects only spends an hour after the arrest Soko was quick to say that there are legitimate procedures which police on bail application.

“You must seek assistance at my office on the release of any person suspected to commit an offence rather than engaging in mob justice,” said Soko

On his part Osten Ndatopa Mayere who is senior assistant community service officer at Dedza first grade magistrate said silence to seek justice is promoting mob justice.

Mayere encouraged women to seek court redress in times of disagreement rather than thinking of committing suicide.
