Law Enforcers Trained On Human Trafficking Act.

Law enforcement officers have been trained on human trafficking act.

Among the participants were police officers, immigration officials and representatives of Ministries of gender and labour.

Speaking during the training in Rumphi district a representative of Human Rights commission Mrs Njolomole said law enforcement officers should be trained on basic principles in dealing with human trafficking cases.

Njolomole said “age, sex and ethnicity and travelling unaccompanied are key when dealing with human trafficking.”

General duties officer Superintendent Magwera thanked facilitators for such a profound training and promised to continue working hard in reducing crime in Rumphi district.
