Lightning Strikes Couple

Lightning has struck a couple in the area of Tradition Authority Katuli in Mangochi district.

According to public relations officer for Mangochi Police Inspector Rodreck Maida the incident occurred at about 6 o’clock at Katuli trading centre.

Maida said “Asiyatu Mtikitila aged 25 of Mbela village died on spot while her husband Louis Mailosi 34 of Milonde village sustained multiple burns and is admitted at Mangochi district hospital.”

Autopsy conducted at Katuli health centre revealed that death was due to electric shock.
