Malawi Relief Fund UK officials meet IZF students

Students benefiting from Malawi Relief Fund UK have been advised to show their appreciation by producing good grades in their studies.

Malawi Relief Fund UK with financial support from UK based organization, Issa Foundation, is carrying out a number of projects in education, relief, sanitation and health sector.

On education Malawi Relief Fund UK is currently providing scholarship to over 250 students in different universities and colleges through Islamic Zakaat Fund.

But speaking during a motivation talk organized for the students, Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Aisha Mambo Adams, called on the students to work extra hard in their studies in order to achieve their dreams.

Adams however urged the students to remember to pay back from their earnings once they accomplish their goals.

On his part, Secretary of board of trustees for Malawi Relief Fund UK, Mohammed Mangera, said “I am impressed that all students are doing well in their studies.”

Mangera therefore explained that when he goes back to UK, will convince the donor to increase the number of beneficiaries in the education scholarship program.

Speaking on behalf of the students, Yasmin Abdullah, graduate from Malawi College of Health Sciences urged the students not to lose hope and put Allah first in all endeavors.

The meeting brought together students from different universities and colleges across the country.
