Malawi police arrests 8 over missing albino

Reports indicate that governor of Malawi’s ruling Democratic Progressive party DPP has been arrested in connection with the missing of twelve year old boy with albinism in Phalombe district.

When Radio Islam asked public relations officer for Phalombe police Innocent Amos on the arrest he referred our reporter to national public relations officer for police James Kadadzera.

Kadadzera confirmed that police have so far arrested 8 people suspected to have been connected to the missing of the boy.

However, Kadedzera refused to provide identities of the DPP Governor arrested saying “police are only arresting suspected people regardless of their political positions.”

Recently, Phalombe police arrested mother and stepfather of the boy who went missing on Independence Day on June 6 2018.
