MEJN Introduces Budget Advocacy Project

Malawi Economic Justice Network MEJN has introduced budget advocacy project to curb misuse of public funds.

Speaking during media briefing in Lilongwe MEJN programs manager Kelvin Chirwa said they came up with the project after receiving many complaints on abuse of the funds.

“Through the project we will monitor the use of public funds and management of government resources,” said Chirwa.

He added the project will also help on drug management in public hospitals.

Malawi’s 2018 to 2019 national budget is pegged at 1.5 trillion kwacha.
