Munadhamat Al-Dawah Al-Islamia Holds Board of Directors Meeting in Malawi

Government has commended Islamic organizations in the country for complimenting it in provision of social economic development to masses.

Presidential Advisor on non governmental Affairs, Mavuto Bamusi made the remarks when he officially opened the Second Board of Directors meeting for Munadhamat Al-Dawah Al-Islamia (MADA) in Blantyre.

“Government appreciates the role Islamic organizations are taking in making sure that Malawians have access to social services like education, health, relief, sanitation and youth empowerment,” Bamusi said

In his remarks, MADA Secretary General, Atta Almanan Bakhit, advised African countries to maintain peace and stability.

“Most African countries are failing to progress due political instability hence the need to hold hands in ensuring that people are out of poverty,” said Bakhit

Speaking earlier National Chairman for Muslim Association of Malawi (MAM), Sheikh Idrissa Muhammad, applauded MADA for hosting the meeting in Malawi.

Sheikh Muhammad said “meeting will in one way provide an opportunity to delegates to appreciate the challenges Muslims are going through in the country.

The meeting has brought together delegates from Sudan, Bakhrain, Qatar, Kuwait, South Sudan and the host Malawi.
