Parliament Passes K1.7 trillion Budget

Parliament has approved the 2019 to 2020 budget of 1.7 trillion kwacha

Minister of Finance, economic planning and development Joseph Mwanamveka expressed gratitude over positive comments from opposition side.

Mwanamveka pledged to ensure that over expenditure which Malawi Congress Party complained about was dealt with.

In her remarks leader of UDF in parliament Lilian Patel urged government to stop foreign international miners who have been stealing Malawi resources in the name of getting samples.

Patel called upon government to come up with measures to combat the malpractice.
