Muslim Female Teachers Organisation trains Muslim women on Ramadhan.

As the holy month of Ramadhan is fast approaching, Muslim Female Teachers Organization MUFTO has trained Muslim women about the month.

Speaking during the functions in Blantyre and Zomba, Chairlady for MUFTO Hasfwa Noordeen asked Muslims in the country to prepare well for the holy month of Ramadhan in order to yield more rewards.

Noordeen said every Muslim must fast during such a precious month as it comes once in a year.

“During the holy month of Ramadhan Muslims should reflect on their deeds so as to become better Muslims,” Noordeen SAID

She also hailed the turn up of the Muslim females to the functions.

Concurring with Noordeen Sheikh Ahmad chienda of Limbe Islamic Information bureau who attended the function in Blantyre, said Muslims should prepare for the holy month of Ramadhan.

“I am happy that Mufto has conducted such gatherings as they help to shape the Muslim community.” Sheikh Chienda said

Sufiana William Hajji from Blantyre said the function has equipped her with knowledge she lacked saying Islam is broad and people need to be taught and reminded regularly.

Speaking during the function at Zomba Development Centre ZODEC Muslim women organization Zomba chapter secretary Marriam Jiya said the get-together has helped them learn and understand the holy month of Ramadhan better.

“I call upon other organizations to conduct Islamic activities in the district saying there are many women who are in dire need of information pertaining to Ramadhan,” Jiya said

On her part one of the participants Salama Qassim at ZODEC urged her fellow attendants to put into practice the knowledge acquired and share with those who did not manage to attend.

During the function women received Qurans, Islamic literatures and scarfs.

MUFTO has so far conducted the events in Ntcheu, Blantyre and Zomba among other districts.
