A group of Muslim women from different dawah groups in Blantyre has donated assorted items to Zingwangwa masjid in Blantyre.
Speaking during the donation ceremony, a member of the organizing committee Jangale Chiosa said they decided to donate the items after they were approached by Zingwangwa masjid committee.
Chiosa said the women organized fundraising luncheon where money amounting to half a million kwacha was realized.
Among the donated items are cooking pots, prayers mats and iron sheets.
In her remarks, Chairlady for Zingwangwa masjid Alapeyine Chimbende commended the women for the donation which she said will go along way in alleviating challenges they have been facing at the masjid.
Meanwhile, Mzuzu University Muslim Student Association (MUMSA) has donated assorted items to Chamalaza primary school in Mzimba district.
MUMSA chairperson Barnett Sanud said they decided to visit the school with the items in order to create a conducive learning environment for the students.
