Lawyer of President Professor Peter Mutharika Frank Mbeta has finished cross examining president of Malawi Congress Party Dr Lazarus Chakwera in elections case.
Mbeta began cross examining Chakwera Monday morning when the case resumed in the constitutional court in Lilongwe.
During the cross examination judge Ivy Kamanga advised Mbeta to focus on the matter in court.
Earlier the judge announced that the next three witnesses in elections case will be cross examined for 2 hours by each respondent and re-examined 1 hour by their lawyers.
Potani said the witnesses are Tione Marizani, Enock Chizuze and George Nkhoma.
He said the court came up with that timeframe so that the examination of them finishes by the end of the week.
However, lawyer of MCP said Chizuze will not testify and it is unlikely that another witness from Nsanje will appear in the court.
Attorney general Kalekeni Kaphale who is lawyer of Malawi Electoral Commission said would comment on the matter during their meeting in chamber.
