Pastor kills daughter

Police in Balaka have arrested a 25 year old Pastor for allegedly killing his six weeks old daughter.

Balaka police says in the morning of 21st June Sageme Petrol entered into his house when the deceased was asleep and cut its neck using a knife.

Petrol then invited his wife who was outside cleaning the surroundings to see her dead child.
The mother reported the matter to police which arrested him at Mitchaya village.

“Postmortem conducted at Balaka District Hospital showed that the baby
died due to severe bleeding,” said Balaka police.

Petrol Sageme a Pastor for Apostolic Church who was diagonised with mental illness sometime back hails from Chitala Village TA Nkaya in Balaka District.

He will answer a charge of Murder contrary to section 209 of penal
code.
