PPDA establishes e-service for procurement

Public Procurement and Declaration of Assets Authority (PPDA) says establishment of e-Service will efficiently enhance the service delivery in as far as procurement process is concerned.

Director General for PPDA, Dr Edington Chilapondwa, said this when he officially opened a day long orientation work for officers from government ministries and agencies in Blantyre.

Dr Chilapondwa said “with the coming in of e-Service delivery, issues of mis-procurement, delays and corruption will remain history in all government ministries and agencies.”

One of the participants to the workshop, Masautso Yasin, the Procurement Officer at Blantyre District Council, said the training has helped them to understand how the e-service is working.

She added the system will promote transparence and accountability a development which will help to effectively serve the public.
