Radio Islam Listeners Applauded For Good Job In Malawi

Mangochi district council has applauded Radio Islam listeners association for promoting child education and taking care of the poor.

Chairperson of the council Ibrahim Kadewere said this during the celebration of two years anniversary for Malombe listeners’ zone.

Kadewere said establishment of the zone in 2016 has helped to enlighten the community on the importance of education, getting rid of forced marriages and early pregnancies in the area.

“I appeal to the members to promote unity for Radio Islam listeners association to prosper,” said Kadewere

Commenting, vice president of the association Davie Daud Mpalume said they established the zones in Mangochi district with the aim of promoting radio Islam listenership and caring for the poor in the villages.

Mpalume said “the forum helps to strengthen our iman as we remind each other of principals of Islam.”

He promised more developmental activities that will help to improve welfare of the poor in rural areas.
