Road to Relief To Build Houses For Flood Victims

Road to Relief has promised to re-build houses for flood victims in the country.

One of the board members of the organisation, Nabila Sadiq Tayib, said this when the organisation distributed relief items to flood victims at Nthole evacuation center in Nsanje district.

Tayib said they raised about 40 million kwacha and the organisation has decided to start rebuilding houses as most of them have already gone back to their homes.

The board member also said Road to Relief has reached out to victims in the districts of Chikwawa, Blantyre, Nsanje and Phalombe.

Tayib has disclosed that they have teamed up with other Islamic organizations to help more victims across the country.

During the exercise the organisation distributed maize floor, cooking oil, plastic pails, winter cropping seeds and other farming materials.
