Second deputy speaker promotes GBV capacity building

Second deputy speaker of parliament says capacity building on gender based violence GBV is crucial towards ending the vice in the country.

Aisha Mambo Adams who is Member of Parliament for Mangochi Mkungulu and girl rights ambassador said this during a girls’ self-esteem workshop organized by Association for Muslim Journalists AMUJO in Blantyre.

Speaking after the function Adams said only when stakeholders understand the malpractice they can be able to take proper actions.

She commended AMUJO for the initiative saying “it will encourage Muslim girls to take decisive action towards shaping their future hence more Muslim women in positions.”

Adams then advised the girls to be focused and put into practice what they have been taught at the workshop.
