UDF Area Committees Endorse Muslim As candidate In Mangochi Central Constituency.

115 UDF area committees and constituency members in Mangochi central have endorsed Yusuf Kusweje who is a Muslim as the aspiring candidate for 2019 tripartite elections in the constituency.

Speaking to Radio Islam at UDF offices in Mangochi district Secretary for the constituency committees Nelson Salade said UDF district committee asked the area and constituency members to present their candidate on 30th April 2018.

“We will make everything possible for Kusweje to win the sit come 2019 polls,” Salade said.

Commenting UDF district governor Abdullah Foster said the party will hold primaries ahead of 2019 tripartite elections.

The endorsement comes after MP for Mangochi central constituency Clement Chiwaya announced that he would resign in May 2019 elections.

Chiwaya who was the second deputy speaker of parliament said he announced earlier the resignation for the party to choose in time his successor.
