US applauds Makanjira Development Foundation for financial prudency

US Department of State has commended Makanjira Development Foundation MDF for its financial prudency in the construction of Makanjira CDSS girl’s hostel under US Ambassadors Special Self Help Fund.

In a letter dated February 16 from US Department of State addressed to executive director, Makanjira Development Foundation, Ousman Kennedy, the US Embassy acknowledges the completion of its review of the organization’s final reports of the project to which it offered a grant of 7 million kwacha.

Speaking to Radio Islam, MDF executive director Kennedy said this means that Makanjira Development Foundation is a trustworthy organization aimed at developing the area.

Kennedy said the hostel which will accommodate 80 girls will enhance promotion of girl child education in the area.
