Police Recovers Stolen Sewing Machines Of Mahajuba Islamic Centre

Police in Balaka has recovered seven sets of sewing machines and three sewing machine stands for Mahajuba Islamic centre that were stolen.

Public relations officer for Balaka police station inspector Felix Misomali the machines are worthy eight hundred thousand kwacha.

Misomali says the items were stolen on several occasions at the centre which is located at Ulongwe Trading centre.

The centres supervisor Albert Bwanali says early march this year one of the halls at the institution was broken into and four sets of sewing machines, five sewing machine heads and five rolls of wrappers were stolen by unknown criminals.

During investigation police arrested one of the employees of the centre.

Meanwhile, police are advising employers in Balaka to employ people of good order and conduct.
