Concerned citizens ask Tonse Alliance government to walk the talk on austerity measures.

A group of concerned citizens have asked Tonse Alliance government to walk the talk on austerity measures.

Speaking during a press briefing in Blantyre, one of the leaders of the group Bishop Chimwemwe Mtuwa said the president has increased gratuity of cabinet ministers at a time the country is grappling with economic challenges.

“Government should work on providing ways to cushion Malawians from the hardships,” Mtuwa

Mtuwa asked the judiciary to be fair and avoid being used by politicians when passing judgments.

He told government to stop threatening and intimidating human rights activists for critiquing it.
