Kanjeza Sisters Take Dawa to Rural Areas

Kanjeza sisters have said taking dawa to rural areas is the only way of encouraging Muslim women to be active in Islam.

The remarks were made during the dawa held at Bangwe Islamic centre in Blantyre.

Kanjeza sisters secretary general Jamila Lire said Muslim women in the country are facing a lot of challenges due to lack of messages that are beneficial to their lives.

“Women must be united to develop Islam,” Lire said.

Abida Mia who was the guest of honour promised to empower women through free interest loans.

“Currently we are looking for international donors and some of them have shown interest to assist women in the country,” said Mia

One of the participants Mwai Mainala from Chigumula said the dawa was beneficial as she acquired Islamic information.
