Muslim students at various universities in the country have been urged to focus on their studies for them to become productive citizens.

Project director of Mai Aisha Trust Abdul Axix Yaseen was speaking at Mehbab Memorial Centre in Mangochi during the opening of a five day 2018 University Annual Tarbiya program organised in conjunction with Al-Muhammad Hassan Trust.

Yaseen said students should observe good manners to perform well in school and develop Islam.

“Students must abstain in order to have HIV and AIDS free generation and achieve their goals,” said Yaseen

He applauded students under bursary scheme for working hard in their studies as many of them are graduating with good grades.

Commenting, Jaffalie Iddana education coordinator for Al-Muhammad Hassan Trust said the program was organized to promote good morals in Muslim students and encourage them in Islamic development.
