Leader of Opposition Asks Government To Stop Joking Over Availability Of Maize

Leader of Opposition in Parliament has asked Tonse Alliance Government to stop lying to Malawians over availability of maize in ADMARC depots.

This comes few days after Minister of Agriculture, Sam Kawale witnessed the selling of maize at Goliati in Thyolo district on Thursday but to date some parts of southern region are yet to receive the commodity.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Islam, Leader of Opposition in Parliament, Kondwani Nankhumwa, says government should not joke with the hunger issues warning that should anyone die of hunger government will be held accountable.

According to Nankhumwa government does not have enough maize citing the current food deficit of 100,000 metric tons.
