Malawi Law Society calls President to release full Chizuma’s arrest report

Malawi Law Society MLS has called on President Lazarus Chakwera to release full report of the investigation on the arrest of director of ant corruption bureau Martha Chizuma

MLS has made the call after the commission of inquiry which was instituted to investigate the arrest released a report that has some pages missing

According to the report the Commission has recommended Chakwera to take action on Chizuma and director of public prosecutions DPP Steve Kayuni

It has also recommended that leadership at ACB and DPP should be re-organized

Reacting to the report MLS President Patrick Mpaka and Secretary General Chrispin Ngunde say the public is entitled to access to information held by the state as per constitution and access to information act

Mpaka and Ngunde say they cannot evaluate the 12 commissioners output without examining what they have looked at in 49 pages of their report which is not available to the public
