Malawi Religious Leaders present petition against homosexuality

Mulanje Religious Union has presented a petition to the district commissioner against same sex marriages also known as homosexuality

Speaking after delivering the petition chairman of the union Bishop Preston Kasito said it is not right for women to marry fellow women and men to marry men

Kasito said they agreed that the best way of delivering their complaints to government against homosexuality is through peaceful protest and the petition

Muslim Association of Malawi vice chair in Mulanje Sheikh Issa Saidi said government and courts must reject the calls to legalize same sex marriages
