MAM Warns Muslims Of People Planning To Divide Community

Muslim Association of Malawi MAM has warned Muslims to be watchful of people who want to divide the community

Secretary General of MAM Alhajj Twaibu Lawe speaking on behalf of chairman of the association said this at an annual Islamic conference in Mangochi district

“Unity is essential among Muslims therefore advised those in Mangochi to be vigilant because the district is targeted since it has a larger number of Muslims,” Lawe said

He then encouraged the Muslim community to continue educating children.

Chairperson of Muslim Association of Malawi in Mangochi sheikh Fahad Kansuli said main objective of the Conference was to promote unity among Muslims surrounding the district.

Sheikh Kansuli further said “bringing Muslims together can help to achieve many things in their lives.”

Kansuli took an opportunity to ask MAM General Secretary to consider building a hospital in the district and continue constructing schools.

This year’s MAM annual Islam conference was under the theme “vision and unity of purpose in Islam.”
