MPS Arrests Key Robbers In Blantyre City

Malawi Police Service MPS has arrested 6 key suspects in connection to a series of robberies have been happening in Blantyre City particularly Chapima Heights, New Naperi and Mapanga.

Public relations officer for the service senior superintendent James Kadadzera says they have also recovered a riffle in the process.

Kadadzera says they have intensified police patrols in the targeted areas and their investigators are on ground to put this gruesome crime to a complete stop.

He has advised residents of those areas not to live in fear as the situation is under control.

Kadadzera has appealed to patriotic Malawians with information regarding those robberies to inform the nearest police station.

“I appeal to Malawians to use social media platforms particularly face book and what sup responsibly to avoid instilling fear in the citizenry,” pleaded Kadadzera

The service has reminded the general public to avoid sharing sensitive videos, pictures or texts that have the ability to injure others including revealing names and particulars of victims of crime for example rape and defilement.
