NPMB reaches out to needy Muslims

National Muslim Prison Board NMPB has donated food items to people of Kumbewe village traditional authority Lundu in Blantyre.

Speaking during the donation ceremony, a member of NMPB Sammy Kachepa said they decided to donate the items to alleviate problems which Muslims in the village were facing to provide for iftar.

Kachepa has meanwhile asked Muslims to commit themselves to prayer in this holy month of Ramadan.

People from the village have meanwhile commended National Muslim Prison Board for the donation.
Speaking to radio Islam soon after receiving food hampers, the villagers said the donation has come at the right time when many of them were having problems to provide for iftar.
Concurring with the villagers, Group village headman Kumbewe also commended NMPB for considering his subjects.
