Police charges MANEB former director, other officials over MSCE exams leakage

Police in Zomba has charged Malawi National Examinations Board MANEB former executive director Gerald Chiunda and three others for allegedly failing to exercise due care in relation to safety of national examination materials

Public relations officer for Malawi Police service James Kadadzera says the charges which include failure to take reasonable steps for security of national examination materials are in accordance with MANEB Act

Kadadzera says the other three are chief examination development officer Ishmael Faki, chief examination officer Joseph Chilombe and head of security Owen Kutho

“The three are still being held at Zomba police station,” Kadadzera

Kadadzera says once the charging process has been finished they will appear in court for prosecution
