Police Officers Sell Canabis of Suspect-Report

Police report indicates that 6 police officers in Nkhotakota sold bags of Indian hemp which they confiscated from businessman Robert Malombe

According to the report from Nkhunga police they detained Malombe aged 33 from Ndirande

It is alleged that the suspect in question went to Dwangwa to buy cannabis Sativa where he bought 8 bags weighing 100 kilograms each and ket them at a house of Mr Banda residing at Mulala village ready for departure

The police officers are Nelson Gulani, Millward Chakumanika, sub inspector Chapalamira, Lifa jailosi Phiri, Robert Kapalamula and Victor Chinyama

They were heavily armed and confiscated the bags but instead of delivering them at the police station they sold it to another drug dealer Mayeso Misomali in Nkhotakota

When the suspect heard that his cannabis had been sold he went to the garden of Misomali where he torched the hats

The officers reported back to police station without the suspect or exhibits and did not report the matter

The same suspect reported the incident to the police and brought a bag containing 10 rubber canisters of teargas and 21 live canisters of teargas which were allegedly forgotten by the police officers during the operation

Meanwhile police through its public relations officer peter kalaya says the service is investigating the matter
