President Directs Security Agencies to Curb Murders

President Lazarus Chakwera has tasked ministry of homeland security, police and other security agencies to curb murders

Minister of information Moses Kumkuyu speaking during a press briefing said any loss of life is deeply regrettable

Kunkuyu says police is making steady progress and has intensified patrols and erected adhoc roadblocks in response to the murders

He said last night in Lilongwe, police have arrested a man and recovered a pistol from his car at a snap roadblock which they erected.

The information minister says government and president Chakwera are concerned with the murder cases

He called upon all citizens to remain vigilant and report all suspicious individuals an actions to police to keep the country safe
