Public Sector Reform Report Leaked

Public Sector Reform Report Leaked

Business and Applied Sciences (Mubas) based Political Analyst, says failure to implement most of the recommendations in the Public Sector Reform Report is what has necessitated the leaking of the report.

Chimwemwe Tsitsi believes that a lot of recommendations in the report would help in public resource management such as restricting principle secretary from using types of cars to save 13 billion and a revision of salaries for civil servants to match with the cost of living

Tsitsi says as much as the president had discretion of how to use the report but he should have kept his promise of publicizing it and implementing all recommendations not just picking some.

The analyst says although the leaked report could trigger accusations but clarifications could help Malawians to know what really happened.

Reforms report has been kept secret for two years.

However the minister of Information said the President is at liberty to apply his wisdom in the implementation of the report.
