Yao Chief installed in Ntcheu

Paramount chief Kawinga has hailed the existing relationship between the Yao and Ngoni in the country.

Paramount Kawinga was speaking during the installation of Kennedy Abdul Aziz Msusa as village Headman Mangochi in Ntcheu district.

“The installation of the Yao chief in a predominantly Ngoni area symbolizes tolerance and co-existence which he said is crucial for growth of communities,”Paramount Kawinga said

He has meanwhile asked Yao’s to display good behavior and take part in development of the country.

Speaking during the installation ceremony, senior chief Makwangwala hailed Yassin for the development he has initiative in the area from the time he was a councilor.

Makwangwala also asked other chiefs to be hardworking so that they become financially independent to deter the tendency of benefiting from donations which might benefit their subjects.
