Hot Weather to Continue-MET

Department of climate change and Metrological services has said the country will continue to experience a wave of hot and sunny weather conditions due to the influx of warm and dry north easterly air flow.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Islam, the departments’ director Jolam Nkhokwe said this is due to climate change which has affected Malawi and the world at large.

He has since encouraged farmers in the country to abide by the advice from agriculture extension workers in their areas, saying the country may soon start receiving rains.

“The country is expected to experience strong winds associated with thunderstorms,” Nkhokwe says

Meanwhile, SADC-CSC on extreme temperatures has asked member country’s to adhere to all health advisors provided by local institutions in order to avoid heat related health problems, such as heat, strong, amongst other.
