Malawi to Receive Normal-Below Normal Rainfall

Department of Climate Change and Meteorological Services says Malawi has high chances of normal to below normal rainfall amount over most parts.

This has been disclosed at a National Climate Outlook forum 2023 to 2024 seasonal focus in Lilongwe

Director of the Department Lucy Mtilatila says there is a possibility of delayed onset by at least two weeks in some areas.

She also said the prolonged dry spells might occur in the month of February with high temperatures until March over Southern and Central regions

Director of department of disaster management affairs Moses Chimphepo said have put in place measures that will address challenges of climate change
