Malawians Killed in Mozambique
Two Malawians have been killed by angry mob that set them ablaze for stealing in Mozambique.
Public relations officer for Ntcheu police sub inspector Hastings Chigalu says John Philimoni 39 and John Alick 32 crossed Malawi’s Biriwiri border post into Mozambique with the aim of breaking into one of the shops.
“The owner of the shop noticed something strange hence shouting for help. Villagers managed to catch the suspects but the mob resorted to burn them,”Chigalu said
Philimoni died on spot while Alick was rescued by Mozambican police but after the blaze had burnt him
Alick has died at Kamuzu central hospital where he was receiving treatment.
Yohane Philimoni hailed from Chingawa village while John Alick from Kalulu village TA Njolomole in Ntcheu district.
