MANEB shifts PSLCE over fresh elections

Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) has shifted the Primary School Leaving Certificate Examinations (PSLCE) time table from the third week to the first week of the month of May 2020.

Announcing the development at a press briefing held at its head office in Zomba, MANEB Executive Director, Gerald Chiunda, said the changes have been necessitated by the pending fresh presidential elections.

Chiunda said this year’s PSLCE will be administered from 6th to 8th May, instead of the slated dates of 20th to 22nd May.

“Despite the change in the dates, MANEB will not be able to open the examination papers saying tampering with envelopes containing question papers is a breach of security,” Chiunda says

Over 300 000 candidates are expected to sit for Primary School Leaving Certificate Examinations (PSLCE) this year.
